In case you were wondering.....

.....those are the pieces of dogfood that Nutmeg didn't want to eat. I bought her some new food and mixed it in her "old" food. She sorted out the "old" food and spit it out on the floor.

4th of July camping weekend

We left early last Thursday morning to go camping in Crab Harbor. We put the boat in at the Garibaldi Docks, loaded with all our camping gear, and went across the Tillamook Bay. The Tillamook Bay Spit sticks out between the Pacific Ocean and the Tillamook Bay. It isn't accessible by vehicles, only boat, bike or hiking in. There is a VERY nice trail/path that goes along the Bay side and eventually ends up around by the South Jetty and the ocean. For us it was about a 2 mile walk to the ocean. Nutmeg had a wonderful time being outside, running, rolling and digging in the sand, chasing and lying in seaweed, and burying cockle shells.

The weather was perfect on Thursday. Sunny, warm, no wind. Friday the clouds moved in but still was very pleasant temperature. By Friday night though, the clouds had filled with moisture and shared it with us until Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon (when we needed to start packing up), the clouds moved on by and we enjoyed some warm sun again. It was nice to bring home a dry tent!!

Was a lovely little vacation. Now back to reality. :)
